Unaffiliated grew far faster than they predicted, at least in the US. It’s clear that they don’t really understand enough to make accurate predictions.

That’s depressing, but at least one of the key factors driving growth of religious populations is temporary. Birthrate can only stay high for so long, and we’re already above carrying capacity globally.
